Welcome to Van Zandt County Emergency Service District 2

Van Zandt County Emergency Service District 2 was established to provide fire and rescue protection and first responder services within the district’s service area. The 90-square mile service area is predominantly rural in nature, with a population of about 13,000.

The District collects ad valorem taxes, for fire and rescue protection and first responder services within the district service area and contracts with the Grand Saline Fire Department for the delivery of those services.

The commissioners are dedicated to the fiscal stewardship of taxpayer dollars in supporting the brave men and women of the Grand Saline Fire Department.
